The Levels Command is a very powerful tool and can be used to enhance the colours of your graphics.
So lets see what it can do:

Open the file ‘Disneyland’ (right-click on the image left and save to your drive) and from the bottom of the Layers Palette choose the little black & white circle From the pop up menu choose Levels Drag the right hand Input Levels slider to the left to about 233
|
At the top of the window, from the Channel drop down menu choose Blue and experiment with the right hand slider until the colours in the graphic become clearer. Computers vary, but I set mine to about 244 for the right slider and 14 for the left slider.

Now select Green from the Channel drop down menu and play around with the left and right sliders to improve the green colours in the graphic. I set mine to 242 for the right slider and 15 for the left slider. Choose Red from the Channel drop down menu and experiment with the left and right sliders to improve the red colours in the graphic. I set mine to 244 for the right slider and 15 for the left slider. You can also move the middle slider if you wish to see what effect that has on the graphic. Click OK. |
In the Layers Palette, on Levels 1 layer, click on the ‘eye’ to view the original graphic, and click on the ‘eye’ again to see your improvement.
Add your name, save and print.
